Bio
Amber Richardson serves as Co-Director of the Center for Pathway Programs. Amber earned a BA in Psychology from Duke University and has spent most of her career working for advocacy organizations that address the needs and interests of historically marginalized communities. Before joining the Center, Amber led communications efforts at the Center for Native American Youth at The Aspen Institute and Management Leadership for Tomorrow, two DC-based nonprofit organizations. She supports the Center by coordinating stakeholder engagement, co-designing an online platform for pathway program access and administration, developing strategies for effective ecosystem infrastructure and collaboration, and promoting the Center’s efforts both internally and externally. Amber draws on more than ten years of experience supporting the administration of the BOOST Program at Duke University, the longest-running pathway program at the Duke School of Medicine. This perspective informs her approach and commitment to making services and resources more widely accessible. Amber is an alumnus of the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, originally from Hollister, North Carolina, and a citizen of the Haliwa-Saponi Indian Tribe.
