During this train the trainer workshop participants will first learn and practice the process of observing instruction in a variety of settings including large group, small group and clinical teaching. They will use a peer observation rubric and have hands-on experience using the rating form to document teaching effectiveness. After crafting feedback, they will then be observed and coached by experienced faculty developers on the process of giving effective feedback. Participants will receive a certificate of completion  as providers of peer observations. Secondly, participants will learn how to implement a similar program at their home institutions and if interested, join a cadre of peers who observe recorded teaching sessions for individuals at other institutions and provide written feedback.
