Peter G. Anderson, DVM, PhD is a professor of Pathology and Director of Pathology Undergraduate Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). His major area of research is cardiovascular pathophysiology with special emphasis on animal models of human disease. He has over 100 peer reviewed publications and six patents.

Dr. Anderson is also very active in educational pursuits, most notably in using technology to enhance teaching and learning. He joined the Group For Research In Pathology Education in 1987 and he is a Charter Member of IAMSE. He has held leadership positions in many national and international educational organizations in addition to over 20 years working with the NBME and USMLE. He was also selected as a Fulbright Senior Specialist and has remained active in Global Health Educational activities including numerous faculty development sessions in African and Taiwan.
