This plenary will explore unconscious bias (implicit bias) and its effects on learners in the health professions. Techniques to address unconscious bias to improve the learning environment will be discussed as well as how we can engage our learners in discovery of their own unconscious bias and how this impacts their future care of patients. Tips on how to address unconscious bias in the health professions curriculum will also be presented.
