Bio
Dr. Zaveri earned her BS in Microbiology & Biochemistry at Wilson College in India. She then immigrated to the US, and earned her MS in Pharmacology/Toxicology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. She did her PhD at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, where she was first exposed to Problem-based Learning. Dr. Zaveri was mentored by faculty who were instrumental in launching PBL at Ohio State, and transitioning the same cases to LECOM. Dr. Zaveri joined LECOM in 2011, and facilitated PBL in the osteopathic medical school. She served as Director of PBL for the Master's Program. She has recently joined Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL as an Associate Professor of Pharmacology.
She serves as National Faculty for the Division of Pharmacology at the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners (NBOME), and is passionate about medical students' active learning through PBL.
