Stephen Loftus, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Medical Education at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He is responsible for faculty development. A dental professional, with more than 20 years in medical education, his qualitative research has appeared in several journals and books, such as, “Clinical Reasoning in the Health Professions” (3rd and 4th editions). He has also supervised qualitative PhD research projects for students from different health professions, in topics such as clinical reasoning, higher education and clinician/patient relationships.
