Courtney E. Thiele, JD, MA is the Director of the Bioethics Graduate Programs and Assistant Professor in Bioethics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Ms. Thiele also serves as the Vice-chair for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Department of Biomedical Education and Anatomy.
Ms. Thiele received her JD from Saint Louis University College of Law, with a concentration in Health Law and served as an editor on the Saint Louis University Journal of Health Law and Policy. She received her MA from Trinity International University. Following completion of her JD and subsequent admission into the Ohio Bar, Ms. Thiele completed a fellowship in clinical ethics at The Ohio State University.
As a faculty member and graduate program director at The Ohio State University, Ms. Thiele has helped develop, build and grow the Master of Arts in Bioethics from its early stages. She has designed, created and built courses for both in-person and distance education for undergraduate, graduate and professional learners.
Ms. Thiele’s scholarly interests include issues at the intersection of bioethics, law and public policy, bioethics education, and access to healthcare.
