She is a thread director in pharmacology in pre-clerkship and teaches pharmacology for basic sciences and system courses at the College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM). She develops outreach activities at the Southeast Michigan sites of COM to offer 1st and 2nd-year medical students opportunities to learn from the community while serving them. Through clinical and educational activities, her projects foster Interprofessional education. They are founded on clinical-based services and medical education-based approaches to strengthen connections between medical students and faculty in under-resourced communities. Dr. Restini has applied AI to assess medical students' skills and identify gaps by having them create board-style questions applying core pharmacology concepts. Additionally, she has explored AI platforms to enhance Causal Mechanistic Reasoning related to basic sciences, particularly in pharmacology concepts.
