Dr Anna Karwowska is an Associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa, specialized in Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Child Maltreatment Pediatrics. She currently holds the position of Director of the Faculty Development and Mentorship Program for the Department of Pediatrics. She has led the development of a formal mentorship program, and created a framework for faculty development based on leadership development, professionalism, wellness, and productivity. She has served as the Vice President, Education at the AFMC since 2019. In this capacity she supports the AFMC’s strategic goals related to medical education, acting as both a leader and a collaborator working in the academic university setting, with medical organizations as well as with community partners.
