Kenn Barron is a Professor of Psychology and the Director of Professional Learning at Motivate Lab. His research focuses on student motivation and the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL), appearing in his field's leading journals like the Journal of Educational Psychology, Contemporary Educational Psychology, and Educational Psychologist. With over 30 years in higher education, Kenn is deeply committed to translating motivational theory and research into educational practice, offering practical strategies on how to improve teaching and learning. Throughout his career, Kenn has been recognized with numerous awards for research, teaching, service, and advising. For example in 2012, he was named a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and one of the Princeton Review's Top 300 Professors in America. Today, Kenn works with educators and institutions across the country to translate research into practical strategies to elevate teaching and learning.
