Dr. AJ Haas is a Chief Resident in Surgery at MetroHealth/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. He will graduate later this year and begin fellowship training in Flexible Endoscopy and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction at The Ohio State University. Dr. Haas earned his MD degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed a master's degree in medical education at Harvard Medical School, with thesis work in ethnography. Drs. Blackall and Haas co-authored the publication “What Really Matters: A Qualitative Study of Student Perspectives on Exceptional Teaching” in Academic Medicine.
