Bio
Carla Fehr earned her PhD at Duke University and is a faculty member in the Philosophy Department at the University of Waterloo, where she holds the Wolfe Chair in Scientific and Technological Literacy. Carla brings 25 years of diversity work to the table and has received support from the National Science Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada. She has:

* Published research on gender and STEM in academic journals across a variety of disciplines,
* Taught courses on gender and STEM, and gender and entrepreneurship at the University of Waterloo since 2012,
* Mentored women in fields ranging from molecular biology to physics, to computer science and engineering,
* Helped 20+ organizations develop strategies for improving their culture for women and all employees,
* Developed outreach programs about gender and STEM reaching people from 20 countries including stakeholders from industry, education, government, and research sectors, and
*Presented keynote talks on women in STEM in Canada, Europe, and the US.

Carla also founded Championing Women in STEM, which provides career coaching for STEM women and leadership education for teams seeking to improve diversity and the work experiences of their diverse members.
