Catherine develops and coordinates student practicum placements in interprofessional healthcare settings, and supervises Social Work students completing placement at the student-run Columbus Free Clinic. She represents Social Work in various interprofessional initiatives across the University with a goal of increasing Social Work student involvement in IPE. She is also a community instructor for the College and is involved with research focused on developing digital simulation as a pedagogical tool for Social Work. Her professional background has been predominately focused on treatment of substance use disorders (she is also a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor) and integrated behavioral health care in primary care settings. She enjoys seeing students from all disciplines grow and learn with, about, and from one another in various environments during their education.
