Dr. Plunkett has been using Team-Based Learning in high-enrolment undergraduate science courses (biochemistry & microbiology) for over a decade. He has conducted training in TBL and other active learning strategies for an international audience. His research interests include intrinsic motivation and mental well-being in students. Current projects focus on TBL as a component of the learning environment, and how it can foster transformative learning. Dr. Plunkett is the current President of the Team-Based Learning Collaborative. And he is a fan of jazz music.
