This workshop will focus on how you can use a mixed methods approach to identifying and measuring the impact of team science work as well as efforts to improve the ability of teams to create science that makes a difference. Those who attend will: 1. Understand the difference between outcomes and impact and how those terms are used in developing evaluation designs, theory of change, and logic models. 2. Learn about three qualitative methods for identifying impact including: Ripple Effect Mapping, Harvesting Storytelling, and Most Significant Change and several methods for using that data to develop quantitative measures of impact. 3. Participate in a demonstration of Ripple Effect Mapping. 4. Have an opportunity to reflect on the methods and processes and how they might be applied to their own work.
