Dr. Michelle Martinchek is a geriatrician and clinician educator. She joined the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2020 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. She earned a B.S. from Michigan State University and an M.P.H. from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, before attending the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, a Chief Resident year, and Geriatrics fellowship at the University of Chicago, where she was also previously on faculty. She has clinical experience caring for older adults in primary care geriatrics, inpatient and outpatient geriatric consultation services, and subacute rehab and long-term care. Her interests include frailty evaluation and intervention as well as interprofessional geriatrics education.
