Name
Workshop: Being Flexible and Inclusive with Online TBL
Date & Time
Monday, March 24, 2025, 12:30 PM - 2:15 PM
Description
This workshop will consider different approaches to adapting TBL to work in environments where the traditional face-to-face classroom delivery is not possible, such as online and/or asynchronous delivery. Compromises will have to be made, but what can be compromised and what are the effects on learning?
By the end of the workshop you will be able to:
- Consider how each element of TBL can be adapted to optimise inclusivity yet maximise learning.
- Critically analyse proposed changes to determine whether they will form barriers to participation and teamwork.
- Discuss and share your personal experience and those of others using TBL online and/or in different formats.
Facilitators will model some of the adaptations that can be made to improve inclusivity through the delivery of the session. There will not be a RAP but the session will include team formation and two TBL application exercises to help attendees identify and apprise potential methods to improve inclusivity when delivering TBL online.
