Annette Burgess is Professor of Medical Education at Sydney Medical School, The University of Sydney, Australia. Annette is a Principal Fellow (PFHEA), Advance HE. She completed her PhD in Medical Education in 2013. She leads the interprofessional Clinical Teacher Training (CTT) program for health professionals and Peer Teacher Training (PTT) program for students. National and international awards include the Australian University Teaching Award for programs that enhance learning (2015), and ASPIRE-to-Excellence award in Inspirational Approaches to Health Professions Education (2021). Her research has attracted over $9 million in funding. Her current research focuses on faculty development and team-based learning in health professions education. Annette is co-Editor in Chief of The Clinical Teacher.
