Dr Elizabeth Prabhakar is a neurophysiologist and medical educator serving as Academic Head for MBBS Phase 1 (Early Years). Her work and interests focus on leveraging instructional artificial intelligence (AI) to foster critical thinking within team-based learning (TBL) environments. In partnership with industry collaborators at AIBODY.IO, she is at the forefront of integrating real-time digital physiology simulations into TBL pedagogy. This innovation transforms traditional paper-based application exercises into dynamic, interactive clinical reasoning experiences with virtual patients. Her research explores how digital simulation can redefine the learning and experiential landscape of physiology within medical education and the life sciences, setting a new frontier for TBL.
