Dr. Yuqin Hu, PharmD, RPh, MS is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice at West Coast University (WCU) School of Pharmacy. She earned her BS in Biology and MS in Zoology from Shaanxi Normal University in Xi’an, China, completed doctoral research in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and received her PharmD from California Health Sciences University (CHSU). Prior to healthcare professional field, she worked as a Staff Research Associate at UC Davis. Before joining WCU, she served as an Academic Fellow and Post-Graduate Instructor, as well as an Assistant Professor, at CHSU.
Dr. Hu’s scholarly interests focus on team-based learning, educational innovation, and the integration of technology into pharmacy education. Her practice interests include hospital clinical pharmacy and innovative academic pharmacy services. She is passionate about creating a supportive learning environment, fostering critical thinking, and mentoring students to become well-rounded pharmacists.
