Dr. Thammasitboon is a pediatric intensivist at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine. In his role as a director of the Center for Research, Innovation and Scholarship (CRIS) of a large department of multidisciplinary faculty across three hospital campuses, he has fostered and established communities of scholars who pursuit scholarship in in Health Professions Education. His areas of research include clinical reasoning, assessment instrument development and validation, competency-based education, educational games, technology enhanced learning among many others. He also directs the BEME International Collaborating Center and Health Professions Education Certificate program at Texas Children’s Hospital.
