Bio
A native of Rivesville, West Virginia, Mike Caputo was first elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates in 1996, where he served 12 consecutive term as a representative of the 50th Delegate District, which encompasses Marion County. He was elected to the WV State Senate13th District in 2020 where he currently serves. During his time in the House of Delegates he has been both Minority Whip and Majority Whip along with Chair of both the Committee on Interstate Cooperation and the Select Committee on Mine Safety Issues.
Active in his local community, Mike is a member of the West Virginia Democrat Executive Committee, Marion County Democrat Men’s Club, Lions Club, Moose Club, Elks Club, and Knights of Columbus. He also has served on the Rivesville Town Council. Mike resides in Rivesville, WV, with his wife Tina. They have two children: Josh (and wife Tessa) and Jessica (and husband Sagar) and 1 grandson, Kiaan.
