After active duty from the Air Force as a Machinist, I began my surveying career in 1972 at Mountain State Surveying Company in Kingwood, WV under the guidance of Floyd R. Stiles. I went to Glenville State College from 1974 thru 1976 and graduated with an Associate Degree in Surveying. Upon graduation I started employment with the West Virginia Geological Survey as a Cartographer. I still presently work for the WV Geological Survey as an Engineering Technician and Coordinator of the WV Earth Science Information Center (ESIC) for the U.S. Geological Survey. I’m also the West Virginia State Names Authority for the United States Board of Geographical Names. I also work part time for Greenleaf Surveying Company.
