This presentation will give those in attendance a real world introduction to the application of hydrologic methodologies and hydraulic designs for a variety of situations. The Hydrology portion will cover the hydrologic cycle, hydrographs for different runoff calculation methods, and how to use flow data once acquired. The hydraulics portion of the seminar will cover the design of pipes, culverts (with and without headwalls), ditch design, and elementary pond design including basic outlet structures including orifices and weirs. The course will also provide detailed example problems and solutions as well as computer software application examples.
