This will be a discussion on the general liability which a surveyor can face as a professional.  Included in this lecture will be a review of the various statutes of limitations, the effect of a statute of repose (if any), other defenses, third party liability, both compensatory and punitive damages,  and those torts of trespass, slander of title and the infliction of emotional distress; and a general review of the Standards of Practice for Professional Land Surveyors.
