In this workshop, participants will experientially learn about developing learner creativity and design skills by going through all the stages of the design thinking process. The learning sciences have demonstrated the crucial role creativity development and design thinking processes play in powerful learning. Because creativity and design are important in all profession, it is essential that educators help students develop these skills. Furthermore, learning can be defined as construction of knowledge and therefore learning is a creative process. In this pre-conference workshop, participants will work collaboratively to develop well-scaffolded collaborative project-based learning activities grounded in creativity and design work that lead to powerful learning.
