Marieke Kruidering, PhD is Professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology. Her current position as professor at UCSF is dedicated full time to teaching and facilitation of teaching Pharmacology to students in the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry. She is coeditor of the pharmacology textbook Katzung & Trevor's Pharmacology: Examination & Board Review. She has won numerous teaching awards and is active in educational research in the areas of curriculum development and assessment. She provides faculty development on critical reflection and small group facilitation to a wider audience in the key educational skills series at UCSF and outside institutions. She provided faculty development on open-ended exam question writing at the national level through the medical educators’ course hosted by UCSF (@ucsfmeded21 | #ucsfmeded21). Dr. Kruidering is an active member in the Haile T. Debas Academy of Medical Educators. She is a member of the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE), ASPET and serves as ASPET representative on the AAMC council of faculty and Academic societies (CFAS).
