After earning his Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, Khiet completed training in Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, he pursued pediatric residency and fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Loma Linda Children’s Hospital, and Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA. He returned to Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2011 and currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medical Education and Pediatrics. In his role as Assistant Dean for Curricular Innovation, Khiet enjoys teaming with faculty and students in applying design thinking to curricular strategic planning and implementation at all levels.
