Judith Brenner, MD, is an internist and serves as the Associate Dean for Educational Data and Analytics at the Barbara and Donald Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. In this role, she is keenly invested in medical student education and development into physicians. Her work focuses on identifying best practices in assessment and she is committed to identifying innovative ways to assess learners and to understand the impact of education on patient outcomes. She is also invested in understanding students at risk for low performance and designing innovative approaches to mentoring them. The work presented in this focus group is part of a AAMC Group on Education Affairs (GEA) project entitled, A comprehensive exploration of open-ended questions in UME: Perceptions and Psychometrics, for which Dr. Brenner serves as the primary investigator. She is excited about interacting with colleagues at IAMSE and introducing new colleagues to the work of this group.
