Many studies report the positive effects of outcome-based education in improving medical education quality. The overarching goal of this course is to work with conference participants to develop competency-based outcomes for basic science pre-clinical curricula using active learning methodology. We will share samples of potential instructional activities, multidisciplinary integration and competency-based outcome assessments for basic science curricula based on our experience in the debrief session.
