Health care education demands an increasing integration of contents and training to improve clinical practices into a patient centered care. Generation Z is also demanding fluid interactions and micro credentials learning that is no longer coupled with the legendary medical programs. The opportunity should be addressed from the program rationale and instructional design to save spaces for the formation of generic competences and interprofessional training. The current trends should be considered to address innovative arrangements for these new expectations. Instead of having co-curricular approaches, the session invites to reflect on different structures to reform health care education.

La educación en salud exige una integración cada vez mayor de los contenidos y la formación para mejorar las prácticas clínicas en una atención centrada en el paciente. La Generación Z también exige interacciones fluidas y aprendizaje de micro credenciales que ya no se combinan con los programas médicos tradicionales. La oportunidad debe ser abordada desde la justificación del programa y el diseño instruccional para reservar espacios para la formación de competencias genéricas y la formación interprofesional. Se deben considerar las tendencias actuales para abordar mecanismos innovadores para atender las nuevas expectativas.
