Dr. Megan Holmes is an Assistant Professor in the Duke Physician Assistant Program. She completed her PhD in Anatomical Function at Johns Hopkins SOM in 2015 where she received training as both an anatomist and a basic scientist. Dr. Holmes has delivered anatomical instruction to a wide range of health professional students over the past 10 years and is regularly engaged in research. Her professional interests include evolutionary anatomy and anthropology, creating an inclusive environment for education and research mentorship and promoting JEDI principles in academia at large. She is a co-coordinator of the Duke PA Program’s PA Practice and the Health System courses, in which JEDI topics are taught as required elements of the curriculum.
