Dr. Coe is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of North Carolina. She serves as the Director of the Fully Integrated Readiness for Service Training (FIRST) Program. The FIRST Program is an accelerated three-year medical school curriculum, linked to direct progression into a UNC-affiliated residency program, followed by three years of service to the state of North Carolina. Dr. Coe is also the Co-Director of the Patient Centered Care (PCC) Course, the introduction to clinical medicine for first- and second-year medical students. She also serves as the Associate Medical Director to the University Employee Occupational Health Clinic and is the Principal Investigator on several medical education grants. _x000D_

Dr. Coe received her medical degree from the University of Washington and trained as a resident and Chief Resident at the University of North Carolina Family Medicine Residency Program. Her scholarly interests include workforce development, Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) to Graduate Medical Education (GME) continuum/ transition, competency-based assessments, and work-place assessments. Dr. Coe is a member of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Board of Directors and also active in the American Medical Association (AMA) Accelerating Change in Medical Education Consortium.
