ASME is a membership organisation whose vision is to work collaboratively with educators, learners, researchers and policy makers to promote scholarship and excellence in medical education to meet the changing needs of the future healthcare workforce. ASME has two leading medical education journals, Medical Education and The Clinical Teacher together with two key books for researchers, Understanding Medical Education v3 and Researching Medical Education v2. Membership of ASME supports you in your development as a medical educator and helps fund and disseminate objective evidence-based medical education innovation. There is also the opportunity to apply for awards and prizes. ASME works to advance scholarship in medical education which can be furthered through the variety of Special Interest Groups and Committees which you can join and meet fellow researchers both virtually and at conferences including its annual meeting.
