John Luk, MD serves as the assistant dean for interprofessional integration at Dell Medical School and led the creation of its signature interprofessional curriculum. Prior to the launch of the medical school, Luk created an interprofessional course in collaboration with a social work faculty member to bring together clinical medical students, social work students, and psychology students. The pedagogy elaborated in that course informed the spirit of Dell Medical School’s interprofessional integration curriculum. This curriculum has been singled out for recognition by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education on its initial accreditation visit. Luk has presented on interprofessional education nationally and internationally.
