Jana Harrison joined the Texas A&M Rural and Community Health Institute in 2024 and is the Regional Workforce Coordinator, Western Region located in San Angelo. Jana has dedicated her life to the service industry, working most recently in higher education workforce development. In addition, she has years of experience as a public-school teacher and as a career counselor. Her passion is to help others and she is eager to serve our rural communities. In her role, Jana works closely with community stakeholders, health systems, and school districts to provide medical students and residents with comprehensive community-based learning experiences which expose them to the depth and breadth of life in rural Texas.
