Dr. Giffen is an Assistant Professor of Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine at the Medical Partnership. She has over twenty years of experience as a performing arts director and choreographer, and has recently joined the UGA Improv Faculty Learning Community. She has coached student groups, ranging in ages from middle school to graduate levels in improv techniques and body movement practices to develop interpersonal and nonverbal communication, respectively. She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Giffen is well-versed in curriculum design and instruction, and her content expertise includes Neuroscience/ Neuroanatomy, Gross Anatomy and Physiology.
