Bio
Maya Ramy graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2017 and went on to receive a Master of Science in Medical Sciences from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in 2018. She is currently completing a dual MD/MPH at Texas A&M Health Science Center and will be applying for residency in neurology next year. Maya served as Medical Student Chair of the Student Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, the Anti-Bias Curriculum Committee, as a STARS Choosing Wisely Representative, the President of the Student Interest Group in Neurology, Vice President for Women in Medicine, and as a Texas Medical Association medical student representative on the Council on Science and Public Health. She is passionate about advocacy and equity in all realms. During her free time Maya enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, visiting art museums, traveling, and dancing.
