Bio
Dr. Janessa M. Graves, PhD MPH is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at Washington State University. Her primary research focuses on inequities in access to healthcare services across geography and among historically underrepresented populations. Topically, Dr. Graves’ research includes pediatric injury, mental health, poisoning, and health services research. Dr. Graves’ work informs state and federal health policies to improve access to and quality of healthcare services for high-needs populations and will ultimately reduce health disparities for rural and underserved communities. Dr. Graves actively leads several ongoing research projects, has authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications in public health and health services research journals, and currently mentors graduate students in nursing, prevention science, and public health.
