Science often occurs within a network of teams called a multiteam system, as illustrated in the recent example of the development and production of the COVID vaccine. This presentation will describe features of science MTSs and their unique challenges. It will also focus on how MTSs can foster (or hinder) scientific innovation and ambidexterity. The talk will also include some tools and interventions for facilitating MTS science processes and emergent states.
