This workshop will teach participants the importance of psychological safety for science teams, how to recognize when it is or isn’t present on a team, and how to develop strategies for fostering psychological safety on their team(s). Participants will leave this workshop with tangible tools to help them measure and build psychological safety on their teams, destigmatize failure on teams by reframing it as an opportunity for growth, and ask questions and respond productively in ways that invite dialogue rather than shut down discussion.
