Bio
Dr. Kevin Donnelly received his BS and MS from Kansas State and his PhD from Colorado State University. He taught at Oklahoma State University for 15 years prior to returning to K-State in 1998 as Assistant Dean for Academic Programs in the College of Agriculture. In 2008, he transitioned into the Department of Agronomy at K-State, where he has taught the introductory Crop Science, Plant and Seed Identification, Graduate Seminar, and Grain Grading courses, and he has co-taught the World Food Crops and Agronomy Capstone courses. He also advised the Wheat State Agronomy Club and coached the K-State Crops Team to multiple national championships over the past 14 years. Dr. Donnelly has served as President, Historian and Foundation Director of NACTA and has received the Murray Brown Award, Distinguished Educator Award and Teaching Award of Excellence. He has also been active in the American Society of Agronomy, receiving the Resident Education Award, and the Crop Science Society of America, receiving the Crop Science Teaching Award. At K-State, he has received the David Mugler Outstanding Teaching Award, the Wallace Kidd Diversity Award, and the Gamma Sigma Delta Outstanding Teaching and Advising awards in the College of Agriculture, plus the University’s Commerce Bank Undergraduate Teaching Award.
