Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need to download anything to access the workshop?
- All sessions during the virtual conference will be run via Zoom. If you don't already have the zoom application downloaded, you can get it here. We recommend doing this in advance of the sessions.
- How will I join the workshop? Will Zoom links be sent?
- Instructions will be sent to attendees the Monday before and the day before the workshop.
- Will I be on video?
- You will have the ability to turn your camera on or off throughout the sessions, but we ask that you keep yourself muted unless otherwise instructed by presenters. That being said, we'll be taking all questions and conversation from the chat box. Leaving your video off may help not only your connection, but make the session run more smoothly for everyone.
- My friend/colleague/boss wants to join in. Can I share the link?
- While we'd love to have them, they will need to register for the event in order to access the session, even if you share the link directly. The NEST workshop is open to anyone, so feel free to have them register here.
- I am not a member of IAMSE. How do I send in my proof of enrollment?
- You will simply need to send proof of you standing as a current student of your institution, such as a letter from your dean, department chair, advisor, or similar individual to support@iamse.org. If we don't receive your proof of status by October 6th at 5pm EDT, we will cancel your registration.
- We also want to remind students that a student IAMSE membership is only $25! Click here to learn more!
