This workshop is designated for all INSciTS community members (researchers, scholars, practitioners, funders, thought leaders, tool developers, policymakers, and institutional leaders) to start preparing for upcoming basic or applied international collaborative research in all academic disciplines ranging from the humanities and the social sciences to the natural sciences.
The workshop attendees will have have engaged discussion opportunities to recognize emerging challenges and opportunities in international collaborative research and transdisciplinary research from the different academic and professional perspectives to advance research together. Understanding the concepts of research integrity in international or transdisciplinary research collaborations will be also crucial to keep refining current and upcoming research collaborations for all researchers. Understanding research quality expectations of each academic or professional discipline will be the key to organize and create a successful proposal for pursuing research funding opportunities.
Scholars are expected to share various knowledge with their collaborators to follow appropriate policies or guidelines in their collaborative research across institutions and nations. In addition, administrative professionals, institutional officials, research administration personnel, funding agency staff, and other stakeholders need to work together to create more coordinated research support environment across institutions and nations. It will be useful for all stakeholders to be aware of the different incentives, expectations and ways of conducting research.
