Workshop: Teaming for Engaged Research with External Partners
Speakers
Description
Science has become increasingly interdisciplinary with a focus on real-life impact. However, to achieve outcomes, collaborations with external partners are critical. Yet, few scholars are trained to navigate the complexities of inter-organizational and community-engaged research. We will offer strategies to improve the success of co-produced inter-organizational research.
Workshop objectives include:
- Discuss best teaming strategies when working with external partners such as community partners, policy-makers, and non-profits.
- Addressing inter-organizational barriers
- Differentiating strategies between different types of external partners
