Dr. Laurie Schroder is a physical therapist with more than 25 years of patient care experience
and fourteen years of teaching experience in higher education. She has a clinical doctoral
degree in physical therapy, a doctoral degree in ministry, and an educational doctoral degree in
adult learning and curriculum development. She currently teaches in a Doctor of Physical
Therapy Program at East Tennessee State University. Her primary research interests are adult
learning, non-traditional pedagogies, and creation of a positive, growth-oriented learning
environment within programmatically accredited curricula.
