Jared D. Wilson is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Engineering at the University of Maine. Jared obtained a Master of Science degree from the University of Maine in 2025, a Master of Science from East Tennessee State University in May 2002, and a Bachelor of Science degree in surveying and mapping from East Tennessee State University in 2001.

Jared Wilson is Professor of Practice in the Department of Engineering, Engineering Technology, and Surveying within the College of Arts and Sciences at East Tennessee State University. Mr. Wilson was a tenured Assistant Professor of Land Surveying at the Landaplenty Center of Natural Resources, Department of Land Resources, Glenville State University in Glenville, West Virginia. He is a licensed land surveyor in West Virginia and Tennessee, and has performed land surveying related projects in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Maryland, and Washington D.C. He has served on the West Virginia Society of Professional Land Surveyors in the capacity of Chapter Representative, Director, President Elect, and President. His goal is to continue to instruct future land surveyors and benefit the profession.
