Purpose
The dynamic demands of healthcare education necessitate innovative, scalable approaches to faculty development. This study aims to evaluate the impact of six global webinars hosted by Lecturio, each addressing critical themes in clinical reasoning, coaching, and exam preparation. These webinars serve as a case series to explore the potential of digital platforms in advancing faculty development globally.
Methods
The webinars, titled Preparing Your Students for Exam Success, Clinical Reasoning Essentials for PA Educators, Clinical Reasoning and Formulating a Differential Diagnosis, Foundations of Clinical Reasoning Cognitive Processes and Models, Classroom to Care: Essential Strategies to Boost Clinical Reasoning, and Coaching for Impact, were designed using a standardized framework. Each included interactive presentations, structured discussions, and practical strategies tailored to diverse healthcare education audiences. Follow-up surveys were distributed to participants after each session to assess engagement, knowledge gains, and the applicability of content to professional practice. Survey instruments included Likert-scale questions, open-ended responses, and demographic profiling to capture both quantitative and qualitative insights.
Results
Preliminary findings demonstrate high participant satisfaction across webinars, with a consistent emphasis on the value of interactive elements and immediate applicability of content. Participants highlighted improved confidence in clinical reasoning and coaching strategies, with regional differences in educational priorities emerging as a notable trend. Survey response rates ranged from 45% to 65%, reflecting robust engagement and providing actionable feedback for future programming.
Conclusions
This case series illustrates the transformative potential of digital faculty development in bridging geographic and institutional gaps. Key lessons include the importance of interactivity, adaptability, and culturally sensitive content. Ongoing analysis will further refine best practices and inform scalable, inclusive strategies for faculty development worldwide.
