Dr. Suzan Mohamed Kamel- ElSayed is an Associate Professor in the Department of the Foundational Medical Studies at OUWB School of Medicine in Michigan. Dr. Kamel-ElSayed graduated from School of Veterinary Medicine, Assiut University, Egypt in 1991. She then started her academic carrier in 1992 when Dr. Kamel-ElSayed has joined Physiology Department, School of Medicine, Assiut University, Egypt. She obtained her Master’s degree in Endocrine Physiology in 1996. In 2004, Dr. Kamel-ElSayed was awarded her PhD from Biomedical Sciences Department, School of Medicine, Creighton University, Omaha USA. In her current role, Dr. Kamel-ElSayed continues teaching physiology to medical students. In her teaching, she applies multiple interactive teaching methods including team-based learning (TBL) In addition, she is among the three faculty members who oversight more than thirty TBLs to be delivered in OUWB preclinical curriculum. She is also an active TBLC consultant, and active TBLC member. Dr. Kamel-ElSayed is the vice chair of the TBLC program committee and a regular member in the TBLC membership committee.
