Bio
Liz Winter is a Certified TBL Trainer Consultant and used TBL in teaching graduate students and practitioners on practice topics including traumatic stress and resilience, and child maltreatment. She has worked to adapt and disseminate TBL beyond the academy, including supporting the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Resource Center in implementing TBL in statewide public child welfare workforce training. More recently she has extended this work to develop TBL-based instruction for sports coaches and athletes.
She earned her law degree at the University of Oxford and her masters and doctoral social work degrees at the University of Pittsburgh. She has practiced law and social work and was a Child Welfare faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. Liz has trained and consulted on stress, resilience, and workforce well-being. She also holds the USRowing Level 3 High Performance Coach certification and World Rowing Coastal Rowing certification and is currently working to develop a coastal rowing program in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
She has served the TBLC as Steering Committee Member-at-Large for Higher Education and was a long time member of the Educational Development Committee.
